Welcome back to the Summer term!  Below are the topics and subjects that the children will be studying in this term.

Summer Topics: Vikings and Saxons; Scandinavia 

Our topic this term is ‘Vikings and Saxons’. Lions Class will embark on an exciting journey of discovery as we explore the Viking and Anglo-Saxon struggle for the kingdom of England and how England eventually became a unified country. The children will learn about where the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings came from, how they fought for territory and power, and how their conflicts ultimately shaped the England we know today. After half-term, we will shift focus to explore the location, features, and culture of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The children will also learn about the different climates across Scandinavia.
