Our exciting new Topic for Autumn is ‘My Home is My Castle.

We will begin by studying life in castle times and comparing this to how we live today.  We will learn about becoming a knight, and as well as finding out about the armoury of the castle, we will be designing and making our own mini castles.

We will also undertake a local study of the siege of Bedford, and link this to our geography work, examining our own locality.  The Bayeux tapestry will serve as an inspiration for our artwork as well as looking at watercolours, which we are excited to say is currently on loan to the British Museum!
