We are excited to begin our new topic for this term: “Under the Sea.”

During the first half of the term, our focus will be on geography. The children will explore the world’s oceans, study coastal environments (particularly in the UK) and learn about the physical and human features of beaches and seaside resorts. We will also introduce important ideas around sustainability and pollution, helping pupils understand how we can care for our oceans.

In the second half of the term, we will shift our focus to history, travelling back in time to discover the origins of the traditional British seaside holiday. Children will explore the customs and traditions of the past, comparing them with those we still enjoy today.
